I was never much of a comic fan when I was younger, yes like
most children I would occasionally look over the Sunday comics while my dad was
at the table reading the paper during breakfast, but that was about the extent
of my comic reading as a child. As I grew older I began to enjoy comics more
and more, mostly due to the art work in them, but still did not invest myself
into them. To be quite honest the only comic I really invested myself in was
“The Walking Dead” and that was only because I was so hooked on the TV series
that I had to get more from it. After starting this class I have learned so
much about comics that I truly had no idea even existed. It is truly a
fascinating world some of these stories such as “Nemo” and specially “The
Upside-Downs” really blew my mind how a whole story can be shown one way then
finished off by just flipping the book over and reading the rest. It really just
blew my mind how hard that must have been to come up with a story that made
sense and had some sort of content in it and also making sense upside right and
upside down.
